Meet Radeyah Ali, Social Media Marketing Specialist -- Instagram

Tell our readers a little bit about yourself. We want to get to know you better!
I'm 22 years old and I have a passion for reading and writing. I have two kittens, Nala and Freya, and they bring me more happiness than humans do! I am generally a sociable person and I like to meet new people and make new friends. I'm constantly growing and changing as I discover who I am and figure out the person that I want to become. I am a Muslim and my Islam is peaceful, and I just wish everyone could see the beauty of my way of life, instead of the negative fallacies reported in the media.

What’s it been like volunteering for Rock & Roll Saved My Soul? What is your favorite thing about it?
It's been amazing! I've recently joined the team and it has really been enjoyable thus far. I love that we get to reach out to people and help brighten their day. My favourite thing about volunteering is knowing that all the work we put in will benefit one cause or the other in the end. That's really fulfilling for me. I am contributing to the RRSMS Instagram account and I hope that I can make a positive contribution towards growing RRSMS! I'm really really glad I decided to volunteer!

What made you want to join the Rock & Roll Saved My Soul team?
I joined because I saw a post that Kate made about needing volunteers and I immediately knew that this would be something that I'd want to do. My only concern was why I hadn't volunteered earlier!

Who are some of your favorite bands?  Favorite album(s)/song(s)?
I don't really have an absolute favourite, but I do enjoy Little Mix, Linkin Park and the likes.
I also can't pinpoint one favourite song, but I do love Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield. I also have a constantly evolving YouTube playlist with all of my favourites.

If you’ve been to a concert, which was the most memorable? Feel free to share any stories with us!
I think the last concert I would have gone to would have been for some local artists. I did go to an ABBA concert recently as well. It was really lovely. The costumes were amazing!

If you could go on tour with one band for a month, which band would you choose and why?
I wouldn't choose a band, I would choose Avril Lavigne!

Are you a writer or musician? What genre? Where can we find out more about your writing or music?
I'm a writer who wishes she was a musician! I tried to learn to play the piano before and it was lovely, but I never continued it.
I write both fiction and non-fiction. You can see all of my work thus far on my Facebook Page: R.H. Ali and on my blog: www.exploringthemindblog.wordpress.com

Anything you’d like to add?
I'd just like to say thank you to Kate for all that she does and for the opportunity to volunteer with RRSMS. She's really an amazing human being and I love her dedication and commitment to all of her projects. Thanks Kate!
