The Sounds of Advice #4

How to put up with people that gets on your last nerve Sandy:  I have to try and shrug it off as much as possible. When that doesn't work I usually vent to someone, most of the time my best friend and we have a good laugh. Aisling:  Sometimes people can be downright annoying. Some don't mean to be, others find fun in it. Either way if someone is working your last nerve just remember to breathe, ignore the annoying party as best as you can and remember to be the better person. Remember the golden rule you most likely learned in kindergarten? Treat others how you want to be treated. Perhaps they will follow suit. Kate: It's not always an easy thing to do, especially if it's someone you work or live with. If you can, do your best to not associate with them or ignore them. If you don't have to deal with them on a regular basis, this can help immensely.  Always be polite about it, even if you don't want to be. Being a jerk about it will just make things 100 times

How to adult without going crazy: Sandy:  Best thing is to live each day. The past is in the past you can't change it. The future you don't know, don't worry about it. You are in the present. Take in it and enjoy it as much as you can! Aisling:  There are many days from time to time when I wish I could just go back to my childhood days where the biggest thing I had to worry about was when I was going to have to take a nap or what color crayon I wanted to use next. Between being a stay at home mom of 3 rambunctious girls, running a household & my own business things definitely get a little crazy. How do I adult without going crazy? I'll tell you.  Every morning coffee is a must.  If I feel myself start going crazy I close my eyes & count to ten.  I remind myself to appreciate the little things like when the kids randomly give me a hug or ask if they can sit on my lap & read a book with me.  I follow a very outlined schedule in my p

I have two kittens, Nala and Freya, and they bring me more happiness than humans do! I am generally a sociable person and I like to meet new people and make new friends. I'm constantly growing and changing as I discover who I am and figure out the person that I want to become. What is your favorite thing about it?   It's been amazing! I've recently joined the team and it has really been enjoyable thus far. How to deal with everyday stress: Aisling: Life can be stressful. Whether it's little things or big, there are things you can do to help deal with them.  1. Vent. To a friend, family member or spouse, vent your frustrations. It will feel good to get the stress off your chest.  2. Close your eyes & focus on your breathing. Breathing in through your nose & out through your mouth. This will help create a calming effect.  3. Count to ten. Take a few minutes to count to ten until you feel less stressed.  4. Write. Take the time to write down what is stressing you out in a journal. 5. Meditate or do yoga. Doing either of these practices for even a short amount of time everyday will help you deal better with stress.  6. Read a book. Take some time to read a book to "escape" reality for awhile.  7. Go for a walk. Even if it's just a ten minute walk, getting some fresh air & connecting with nature is a great way to relieve some stress.

Just hang in there and things will get better. Aisling's response:  I came across a video of a bunch of clips from Robin Williams movies & I don't know if what he says during the whole video is from a movie he did or not but it really resonated with me & I actually have it written down & hung up on my bedroom wall to look at when things are tough.
