Interview with Kate Marie Robbins

Kate Marie Robbins, not only wrote the introduction of the book, but she also included a personal story, and did the cover art for it. This book means a lot to her, and she feels she can do something great with the project. She’s hoping that this may be the first of many volumes of the book.

She is an indie published author, who has self-published a novel, Indigo (book #1 of the Indigo Trilogy), a novella, Aine's Freedom (book #1 of the Chasing Rainbows series), and an illustrated character guide for Indigo.  Aside from writing, she does cover art, both freelance, as well as for an indie publishing company, called Pure Ice Publishing.   She also enjoys drawing, painting, singing, and everything else creative.

What has it been like being a part of Rock & Roll Saved My Soul (RRSMS)?   What do you enjoy most about being a part of it?
As the founder, it has been a wonderful experience this far.  Everyone has been great helping with the anthologies and spreading the word about things.  It makes me happy to see how far it's come since it was started back in 2013.

How did you get involved with the RRSMS community?
I am the founder

Music is a big part of what RRSMS, who are your favorite bands/artists?
Switchfoot, Chiodos, Scars on 45, The 87, Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls

Favorite concert that you’ve been to?  (If you’ve not been to one, who would you like to see the most?)
That is a tough question to answer, since I've been to so many of them.  It's a toss up between The Script and Chiodos.

Do you have a go to song/band that always cheers you up when you’re feeling down?
Walk the Moon

Tell our readers something random about you.  Something that people wouldn’t know by looking at you.
I love tennis.  Both watching and playing.

Books are obviously a huge part of RRSMS as well.  What type of books do you like to read?
Anything and everything--if it holds my attention.  My biggest love lies with fantasy and science fiction though.

Any favorite authors/books?
Far too many to list off.  L.A. Meyer is probably my favorite contemporary author.  Then there are the classics...  Edgar Allen Poe, Lewis Carroll, Franz Kafka.

And then there are my indies:  Heather Kirchhoff, Bree Vanderland, L.L. Hunter, Zara Elise Thelms

Now for a few random questions:  Favorite color?
Red and black

Favorite quote?  (If you have one)
If we spend our time obsessing with the future or regretting the past, then we will never live.  Tomorrow will always be tomorrow and yesterday cannot be changed.
-Jon Foreman

Favorite animal?
Llamas, zebras, and flamingos

Anything else you would like to say or tell our readers?
I just want to say thank you to everyone that has helped Rock & Roll Saved My Soul become what it has.  I wouldn't be here without any of you.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
