Domestic violence is more common than people think. The above statistics back that up. Despite the fact that the majority of Americans know someone who’s been the victim of sexual or domestic violence, most people don’t actually talk about it. We need to break that stigma.
Rock & Roll Saved My Soul, partnered with authors Kate Marie Robbins and Renee Jean, are spearheading a campaign to help break the stigma and raise awareness for a cause that has hit close to home for both of them. Both Kate and Renee are telling their stories. Kate with Behind Closed Doors and Renee with Survivor. These to novels, along with Rock & Roll Saved My Soul's anthology, Fighting Chance, will all be released in October. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Renee is doing a live event where she lives in Las Vegas, Nevada and Kate is doing an online event. But they need your help!
How Can You Help?
We are also in need of help with planning the online event. (Including, but limited to: donations for prizes and raffle/auction items, ideas for ways to get the word out about the event, inviting your friends to the event when a date is set) If you would like to help with the event in any way, please contact Kate Marie Robbins via Facebook.
